Instruction is differentiated in the classroom, meeting each learner’s needs. The faculty participates in continuous professional development that includes recognizing and delivering instruction that addresses each of the multiple intelligences: verbal/linguistic; visual/spatial; kinesthetic; musical; interpersonal; and intrapersonal. Professional development also includes formative assessment and other current pedagogy.
- Students read a wide range of print and non-print texts from many periods in many genres and apply a wide range of strategies to comprehend, interpret, and evaluate texts.
- Students adjust their use of spoken, written and visual language to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences for a variety of purposes.
- Students apply knowledge of language structure, language conventions, media techniques, figurative language, and genre to create, critique and discuss print and non- print texts.
- Students conduct research by generating ideas and questions, and by posing problems. They gather, evaluate, and synthesize data from a variety of sources to communicate their discoveries in ways to suit their audience and purpose.

- Students acquire geographical understanding by studying the world in special terms, human systems in geography, the environment and society.

Junior High Highlights!
In our Junior High Cohort, our goal is to prepare students so that they are ready for high school. Classes are constructed so that each student has six core subjects taught by six different teachers. These core classes include Religion, Social Studies, Math, Science, and Literature (which is broken into reading and writing). The students also have additional minor subject classes once a week that include Spanish (6-8), Art, Gym, Computers, and Music. For more information : Junior High Highlights
